Slinking Back to Watch American Idol

If you’re looking at this page, then congrats — you found me. And thanks for your persistence — especially while I figure out how to make the adjustments I’d like.

But for entertainment value, I’d like to say that several performances on the American Noodle were fab tonight.

  1. Jordin is so going to win. Period. I love “You’ll Never Walk Alone,” from the old musical, Carousel — an oldie that I thought would be a risk, but was just perfect. She’s amazing. Great performance.
  2. And Blake was pretty good, but it’s hard to listen to anyone not John Lennon sing Imagine. Not too bad, even though we had to suffer through inane comments about it just being “all right” from Randy, because I guess you’re supposed to rock ‘n’ roll on that one. Not. But Blake was looking a bit bored with the whole she-bang, don’t you think? What’s up with that? Too cool for school? Hmmmm…..
  3. The Chris kid has a good voice, but if I turned on the radio to listen to something besides NPR, he’d sound like too many others. Nothing makes him stand out. And he’s a cute kid, but always looks a bit like he’s going to cry.
  4. Melinda is always very good. So whatdahyahsay beyond that? Her hair looked great, too? It did, and so did she.
  5. I think that LaKisha is going to lose the vote tomorrow because Phil has some kind of might supporting him like the San-jan-man did.

Unfortunately, the sparkle that last year’s performers brought to the show still isn’t there. It’s a complete bummer. But I’m still watching.

I can’t comment on American Idol because I don’t watch it…but I wanted to stop by and let you know I found the new place.

Yay! I’m glad you made it. Of course my eyeballs are popping out, and I can’t figure out how to quite change he skin of this thing (geek talk…snort) but no matter. A couple more weeks, and I may be back to normal. Whatever that is!

    I found you!

I got home and only caught 1/2 of AI - I totally agree about Jordan.. she rocks. xoxo

I tend to think Jordin will win too. Melinda probably has a better voice technically speaking, but I think Jordin’s youth, curls and pretty face give her a better shot at winning.

Lisa and BeckEye — You guys rock on this one. Thanks for finding me and succumbing to my AI post…

I agree totally about Shanikwa, oops, Lakisha aka kiki. She is goin home. I like her and she is talented, but somebody has to leave sooooooo.
Regarding your new spot. Put your face on it. I like the crazy gal look. Maybe a new, cute one, like with 2 pair of specs on. Keep up the good work. Some days it is my only time I laugh out loud.

We just finished watching American Noodle. Good entertaining show, but I was not able to give it my full attention because I was uploading my “desperate homeowner” video to youtube. They said it takes as long as 8 hours. So, look for it tomorrow and look for mom and me on David Letterman, the Ellen show or something when we get discovered.

For some reason I keep getting a thing asking me for my password?

I don’t watch it but did tonight for the show. I thought they all sounded pretty good. The young girls with the curly hair is likely to be popular with the younger crowd.
I have been meaning to come back but with getting set to graduate I am bound-up. I just found out one must respond to comments on my blog log in order to cancel out the persons comment so as not to penalize them….HUMM

    Good luck with this.

It is much nicer after you get used to it.

Not sure if you have seen the wordpress theme page or not but there are tons of themes there.

    Hi Cooper,
Thanks for stopping by. Good luck with your graduation and everything — it seems like that was a zillion years ago for me. And yes, I’ve checked out the Wordpress theme page. I’m grappling with the stoopid loading process and existing in complete dorkdom on if I’m supposed to have an FTP client or not in addition to my web host…U.G.H.

And Earlene & Loripea — You better get that video on YouTube. It’s completely hilarious — a serious pantswettingcrying ‘till your eyeballs ache from stoopidity hilarious.

The site looks like this because I’m TRYING to figure out stuff, and can’t figure out how to get the picture on it. *rolling on the floor and ripping hair out*

I sometimes just use by C Panel to upload themes.

But I also have Firefox and use “Fire FPT” far easier than any other client IMO. So, if you go ftp and use Firefox try that one, it is just a browser add-on so it is a lot easier.

Cooper, you are soooo kind to take the time to write that. I’m am subsisting off my semi-cute food blog on TypePad right now because this is the ugly step-child. I’ll have to re-process your lingo, b/c I’m a little slow on the techtalk. But I’ll get there. Thanks for the loan of your brains!

  12. 12kellypea

Okay, Cooper, I just processed what you said. Just a Firefox add on? I use Firefox, so I’ll check that out. I’ve already downloaded Captain FTP, but haven’t gotten too involved yet. Thanks for the tip! (processing time was only about 43 seconds — really.) And I’ve had a couple glasses of wine, so that’s not bad.
