I wanted so badly to be able to comment on this, but I couldn’t. I think it was a combination of being grossed out by the SPAM, and then emasculated by Fabio. Lol. I imagined the sound effects of the spammage squishing onto that person’s face…. yuck.

They may have caught “the big one” but, as with every other job in this country, the spam services have all be outsourced to India. Marketing phone calls, too.

If the spam doesn’t stop, forward it to spam@uce.gov.

If marketing phone calls irritate you, join the federal and state do-not-call lists. Following up on unwanted calls is one thing the attorney general’s office in pennsyltucky does really well. And the calls stop, too.

Hey Saurkraut, I’ll check into the link you provided for sure. We submitted on the do-not-call lists when we were first able to. The problem is that if any of the marketers even gets a glimmer of a connection, they say “we said we were interested.” I believe it’s because they’re all connected to those pyramids, and their “upline” sends or sells them a list. They really have no idea.

You’re doing the right thing here i.e. turning spam into a blog post. But I prefer stupid spammers to educated ones; if nothing else they’re easier to mock.

Also more numerous, so - yeah. That’s a problem.

Hey RJ, I’ve noticed the creative spelling of friends in your posts before, and believed it to be part of your hilariously dry sense of humor. I did note the date of the link you put in this comment, so you have continued to use feiends, or fiends, or whatever, right? Do we get to vote for whether we’re fiends or not?

That is good to know.

The problem with all this spam is I have to delete things en masse, and often a legit email gets stuck in the spam filter and gets deleted.

Really, what is with that fake greeting card shit? I really want to find and spamogate that one.

Cooper, I’ve managed to miss out on the fake greeting card scam. Go figure. And the mass delete is a problem — probably more so for you since you actually engage daily in constructive activity. I’m able to stay up with my crap now, because I don’t have to deal with work emails. In and of itself, quite a luxury.

The king of spam isn’t captured. Well, they captured the old one, but a fresh guy took his place!

Good thing I have many emails, when one falls victim to the greeting card or the african relative thing, I switch to another.

Armand, I’ve thought of doing multiple emails as well, but my original is already tainted, so what the heck. I just try and stay ahead of the crap each day. At least once in a while, they give me a good laugh.

I know!!! It drives me BATTY! and it was supposed to get BETTER after they caught and imprisoned that one guy the “king of spam”… guess maybe he has some minions who are still active, huh?

Jenny, he totally has minions — they’re computers who have the ability to teach other computers to send out thousands and thousands of emails in bulk loads. You gotta wonder how productive these losers could be if they actually tried to do something positive for a change.

exactly,, i even asked john at freelance folder to write an article so that we would have an idea of who to actually go to in the event we were interested in working from home… cuz i am not answering any ads on the internet.. thats for damn sure.. i get enough spam just having blogs!!!!

Hey paisley…Yes, considering my scouting around for writing opportunities on line, it is a bit worrisome to think I’ll get into the same mess again. And good point about the connection to the blog. Especially with my current theme that has all that “contact me” stuff built into it.
