Glad you finally found an outfit you will feel good in & something you can wear again. I just went through the same agonizing dress shopping for the hubby's work party... but thanks for the "pneumonia diet" I lost 10 pounds and was able to find a cute little mini shift dress with killer heels. I figure I might as well wear the lost poundage well while it lasts! :) BTW - feeling better day by day, but still not 100%. Pneumonia sucks! Hey there Kelly Girl!

We could have cried together. Been There Done that. I am just beginning to accept that nothing looks good on me. And that is ok. You are beautiful. One thing I have learned and shared with my sister recently is "look in the mirror and smile your best smile and see how the years fade away" . So just smile til your face hurts and no one will notice anything else and will love to be around you. Mom I wish I had been there to share your pain. We could have cried together. She ended up with black PANTS (palazzo thingys that were actually quite flattering) & a top she found at Ross Dress for Less. Borrowed shoes from a friend because she LIVES in Birkenstocks for Gawd's sake!...and ya knwo what?...she looked and FELT great! (Except for that little BRA ISSUE...but that's another story.) Bottom line - screw the foo-foo stuff - wear what you feel comfortable and you'll LOOK GREAT! PS: Never, never NEVER do a google anything having to do with "mature" unless you want to get depressed real quick! I can't even buy a pair of jeans without having them hemmed. Shopping for clothes is a nightmare. As women, we are hard on ourselves and I guess men just don't get it.
